Walls; slab floors; floors of reinforced-concrete girders side by side; roofs.-In a building in which the walls, floors, and roof are formed of interlocking slabs or blocks of concrete or the like, the vertical blocks a, Fig. 1, forming the walls interlock with horizontal blocks i, j, which also interlock with the floor and roof blocks k. The vertical meeting faces of the wall blocks may have interengaging ribs d and grooves e, Fig. 4, with or without cavities f, Fig. 7, and grouting grooves g, h. The floor and roof blocks or beams may be similarly formed, or they may interlock as shown in Fig. 8 by means of bevelled spaced projections d and recesses e. The wall blocks may also be formed if desired as shown in Fig. 8. The blocks may be reinforced with metal, and the outer faces may be rough-cast and treated with waterproofing-material.
