Abstract

20,886. Cancalon, F. Sept. 13. [Addition to 20,468/12.] Joist floors with slab filling; reinforced-concrete girders. -The floors described in the parent Specification 20,468/12 and Specification 20,711/12 are modified by forming the ferro-concrete joists wider at the top than at the bottom, and by securing the flooring- blocks to either form of the joists by means of stirrups. Fig. 1 shows a joist having permanent slabs r cemented in grooves in the ceiling blocks a, and Fig. 3 shows a joist having temporary moulding-boards r<1> secured by wooden bars r<2>. The joists may be made on or off the site. The interlocking flooring-blocks s, Fig. 5, may be keyed by stirrups t to the bars f or e. The joints in the blocks s may be straight, or they may be grooved as shown in Fig. 7.
