Slab floors; joist floors with slab filling : reinforced-concrete floors; arches and domes.-A floor consists of shallow cupolas or domes 1 made of reinforced concrete and having substantially the same shape at the upper and lower faces, and a top filling 5 of ash or the like. The cupolas are circular or elliptical in shape and are supported by the walls or girders 2, 3. The corners are filled in with slabs 4 either cast in situ or made beforehand.
