Joist floors with slab filling; reinforced-concrete beams.-Floors are formed of slabs laid on beams, both slabs and beams being precast and formed by casting concrete or like materialon to grooved boards A<1>, C and reinforcing the concrete B<1> of the slabs by vertical and horizontal strips E, E<1> of expanded metal, and the concrete D of the beams by a central vertical sheet EE of expanded metal. The boards of the slabs are tongued and grooved together, and the slabs are laid so that the joints B occur over alternate beams. For a ground floor, the slabs are laid on sleeper walls.
