[Class 20 (iv)] Girders and beams for floors and ceilings are made from blocks 1 reinforced by metal rods at both the upper and lower comers where they are cemented in dovetailed recesses before assembly to form a floor or ceiling. The blocks are keyed to each other by further cement engaging other longitudinal recesses in the adjacent faces. The upper rods 5 are preferably lighter than the lower rods 4.
