Valves; valve-gear.- The front end of the cylinder is used as an air or mixture pump, the inlet 7 and delivery 8 being controlled by a cylindrical slide valve 5 reciprocated by the connecting-rod 3. The rod passes through the circular block 4 in the valve, and the valve slides in the base plate 6 which closes the cylinder end. Regulating. - A rod 10 on the valve strikes a lever 11, which works the liquid fuel pump 12. The position of the lever can be adjusted by the cam 15.
