Knives, gauging-attachments for.-An attachment for a knife for cutting slices of regular thickness comprises a guide 9 carried by a bolt 4 secured to the blade 1 near the knife handle. The guide and a number of washers 8 are secured on the bolt by a nut 10 and by varying the disposition of the guide and washers, the thickness of the slice cut can be regulated. The bolt engages one of a number of holes or notches in the guide so that its projection below the knife or its angular position can be varied. The attachment may be carried by the handle.
