Knives, gauging-attachments for; flaying- knives; cooking-forks. -A device primarily intended for removing rind from slices of bacon, comprises a handle 1 on which are mounted, by a bolt 5 and nut 8, a rotary guiding device 4 and a circular knife 6 spaced therefrom by the handle 1, the knife being normally stationary but rotatable to bring a fresh cutting edge. into use. Ordinary or spring washers may also be used for spacing. The bolt 5 is enlarged to form a bearing for the guide 4 the periphery of which ie in alignment with the cutting edge. Prongs 11 are provided to enable the device to be used as a cooking-fork. In a modification, the guide 4 is integral with an offset from the handle and. a fixed segmental knife is used.
