Abstract

252,621. Berkel & Parnall's Slicing Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Thomas, H. Nov. 13, 1925. Guards.-In a sliding-machine having a disc knife, a crumb deflector which also serves as a knife-guard is provided. The deflector may be attached to any suitable part of the machine, and is arranged to deliver crumbs laterally away from the cutting-plane. As shown in Fig. 1, the deflector 1 comprises an arcuate strip which is arranged concentric to the knife 2 and is provided with an arm 13 by which it is secured by screws 14, 15 to the block 8 of a skin support 3.
