523,492. Dry shavers. MARTIN, W. F., and MARTIN, C. S. Jan. 7, 1939, No. 610. [Class 131] A dry shaving machine, more especially of the kind having two sets of finecutting blades one of which sets is reciprocable relatively to the other as by an electric motor, is provided with one or more resilient or resiliently-mounted skin-tensioning devices adapted to make continuous contact with the skin in advance of the shaving head. The machine shown has such a device on each side of the shaving head 11, in the form of a rubber strip 13 set in a socket 14. In another form, the device is a pivoted roller which may be resiliently mounted. The device may be built into the machine, or be provided as an attachment for existing machines.
