Abstract

202,821. Withington, H. July 27, 1922. Cutting slices in succession.-In a device for slicing potatoes or the like, the potato is pressed by an abutment 7, on a sliding pusher-plate 5, against a stationary, oblique knife 10 perforated at 11 to prevent the adherence of the slices to the knife. A base-plate 3, screwed to a table 1, is provided with overturned edges 4 which form guides for the pusher-plate 5. The abutment 7 is screwed to the pusher-plate 5 the forward edge of which is bevelled at 9 to receive the edge of the knife. A handle 6 is formed on the plate 5 or a pivotally mounted handle may be provided.
