530,154. Slicing appliances; graters. LUTSCHG, W. K. June 19, 1939, No. 17834. [Class 28 (ii)] In a vegetable or like shredding-device of the kind wherein the vegetable is moved back and forth over a guide surface 4, to be cut by a stationary knife 10, the knife is mounted on a block 3 which is reversible to bring a corrugated knife 11 into operation, or to adjust the thickness of the cut. The block 3 is rotatable on a bolt 6 and is held in the set position by tightening serrated friction washers 7, 8 by a wing-nut. A grating-plate 5 is arranged opposite to the guide 4.
