Abstract

236,491. Lixon, M. March 9, 1925. Shearing.-A portable apertured cutter cutter machine is made reversible so that one cutting edge may be used when the other is worn. On a boss 5 of a base 1 is mounted bv rollers 9 a member 2 with actuating handle 2<1>. To the parts 5, 2 respectively are secured, bv screws 11, apertured disc cutters each with holes 15, 16 of different diameters on either side of the axis of the boss. A bridge piece 8, retaining the member 2 in position is secured to the base by bolts 12, and is spaced from it by sleeves 18. One of these latter carries a lug 19 provided with a screw forming a stop for the handle in an inoperative position. When the cutting edges on one side of the holes 15, 16 are worn, the bridge piece 8 is secured in a reversed position and the stop allows the machine to be actuated in the reverse direction.
