Abstract

168,605. Ball, F. O. Sept. 4, 1920, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Cylinders, pipes for.-A device for collecting and utilizing unvaporized fuel comprises a ring- shaped part 6 of V- or U-section the mouth of which faces the stream of mixture issuing from the carburettor 1. The part 6 is secured by its flange 5 and packing rings either between the flanges 3, 4 of the carburettor 1 and induction pipe 2 or at any other point where fuel is likely to collect and more than one such part may be employed. One or more pipes 7, each of which may be provided with a nozzle at 8, serve to eject the condensed fuel in re-atomized form into the mixture stream. A cup may be placed at any point in the induction pipe where fuel may collect, such cup being connected through a drain pipe with a device such as 6.
