Breech actions, sliding breech-block.-Relates to barrel fastenings for automatic pistols of the kind in which a lug on the barrel enters a recess in the frame and is locked by the guide-rod of the return spring. According to the invention, the guide-rod e, which passes through a lug b on the barrel, is held in the locking position solely by the return spring f, which engages an enlargement h at the rear of the rod and presses it intc engagement with a recess in the frame.
