[Class 119.] Relates to " under and over " sporting guns of the kind in which the barrels swing laterally about a pivot located on one side of the barrels. According to the invention, the barrels 2, 2a are provided with a lug or projection 3 located on the same side of the barrels as, and rearwardly of, the pivot 10, and at least the upper and forward faces of the projection are adapted to bear against the corresponding faces of a recess 5a of a forwardly extending arm 5 of the stock 8. The barrels are locked in the firing position by a sliding bolt 15 which co-operates with the lug 3 and which is actuated by a lever 7. This lever actuates also a catch 11 which engages with a further rearwardly extending lug 6 on the barrels. The pivot 10 may be removable.
