Breech, actions, sliding barrel and breech-block. - The breechblock 2 of a recoil-operated gun is locked by a transverse bolt 5 mounted in a bifurcated barrelextension 1 and operated by a cam or cams 7, 8 on the fixed frame 4. The locking bolt 5 traverses both sides of the barrel extension and completely surrounds the breech-block.
