Abstract

154,565. Tacke, K. Sept. 10, 1919, [Convention date]. Compression engines. -Cylinders a, b are connected together at their upper ends by a passage e so that each impulse acts simultaneously upon pistons connected to cranks g, h. The crank g leads the crank h by an angle of 50 to 70 degrees, the fuel injection being timed to commence when the crank g has reached its upper dead centre position. Fuel may continue to enter until the piston in the cylinder a reaches the end of its up-stroke.
