Abstract

377,614. Driving-gear. KREIDLER, A., 1, Gansheidestrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. March 10, 1932, No. 7235. Convention date, April 15, 1931. [Class 7 (ii).] In cam driving- gear, each track has a steep part 16 to ensure rapid movement of the pistons at the end of the compression stroke, so that spontaneous ignition is obtained. A dwell is provided at inner dead-centre by straight parts d, e, to give time for the ignition to be completed be for e commencement of expansion. Mixture may be compressed between the pistons, or the engine may work 'on the Diesel cycle. The inlet ports are arranged to close after the exhaust.
