1508014 Loudspeaker cabinet MONITRON INDUSTRIES Inc 21 March 1975 11973/75 Headings H4J and H4X The volume 81 of an enclosure 11 to the rear of a loudspeaker 43 is coupled to an opening 57 via a passage 83, 85 having a tapered edge such that a Venturi effect is produced between the volume of air in the enclosure and the volume of air in the passage. The arrangement is intended to improve the bass response of the speakers. The figure shows a pair of such speaker systems for use in a stereophonic system.
