[Class 13] [Also in Group XXXIX] In a loud - speaker having one or more curved horns or conduits for conveying sound vibrations emitted by the rear surface of a diaphragm S to one or more outlets facing in the same direction as the diaphragm, the horns 11 terminate in nozzles 12 surrounded by flared conical mouthpiece members 13 separated from the horns by an annular space. The nozzles may be adjustable and baffles may be mounted in the conduits or nozzles. In a modification, a single horn communicating with the space behind the diaphragm has an outlet surrounding the diaphragm.
