Abstract

248,060. Graham, E. A. Nov. 25, 1924. Loud-speakers. - A telephonic loud-speaker comprises in combination an electromagnetic sound-emitting system 6, a developing sound conduit 7 and a globular acoustic amplifier or radiator 2 within which the, sound conduit 7 extends, the sound conduit 7 being confined either entirely by the acoustic amplifier 2 or partly by the latter and partly by a support 4 of the amplifier 2. Perforations 2 may be formed in the amplifier 2. The outlet 8 of the conduit 7 may be rounded as shown at 10, and a conoidal sound deflector 9 may be provided. The amplifier 2 may be of translucent material and a lamp may be placed within it.
