Loud-speakers comprise a plurality of telephone receivers 1, 1<a> each responsive to a different band of frequencies, and a reflector 2 towards which the sound from each receiver is separately directed. The sound is directed by sound conduits 3, 4 differing in length and taper. The conduits are, for the most part, confined within or behind the reflector and within the confines of a surface or surfaces formed by extending the boundary of the reflector at right-angles to the plane containing the outlet of the reflector.
