Abstract

450,263. Multiplex wireless signalling. DOWDING, G. V., 215, Hainault Road, Leytonstone, London. Feb. 25, 1935, No. 6035. [Class 40 (v)] Incoming signals are converted to different intermediate-frequencies of the same order, which are applied to a common amplifier 24. An aerial 10 receives waves in the broadcast band and an aerial 13 receives ultra-short waves. Part of the aerial for the broadcast band may be used for the shorter waves by separating it by a choke-coil impedance, Fig. 4 (not shown). The short-wave receiver 21 receives both television and sound, the latter is converted to the same intermediate-frequency as in the broadcast receiver 11, and a switch 25 enables the signals from either wave band to be fed to a subsequent amplifier 19 and reproducer.
