430,262. Aerials. LANCE, T. M. C., PUGH, D. W., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., 58, Victoria Street, London. Dec. 16, 1933, No. 35489. [Class 40 (v)] Short - wave signals, as used in television, are received on a dipole aerial 10 which is coupled to a distant receiver through a pair of flexed conductors 4, one of which is connected directly to the dipole, whilst the free end 9 of the other serves as an adjustable coupling. In Fig. 3 a quarter-wave aerial 10 feeds sound and picture signals to separate receivers 17, 18. The flexed conductors may be enclosed in a screening conduit, which may also serve to house bell-ringing or other supply wires.
