A transmitting station is connected to a number of remote receivers over a circuit the impedance of which is modified if a receiver is conditioned to receive a particular programme, the impedance being measured at the transmitting station in a bridge circuit so as to indicate the popularity of the programme. The description is identical with that given in Specification 893,474. Specifications 893,476 and 893,477 also are referred to.
