Nov. 12, 1931, No. 31408. Convention date, Nov. 12, 1930. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v).] In a radio receiver means are provided for de-tuning two circuits operating at a superaudible frequency in opposite directions to control the over-all selectivity without altering the mid-frequency of the band of frequencies selected by the receiver as a whole. The Figure shows a two-stage high frequency amplifier in which the de-tuning is effected by condensers C1, C2. Alternatively, de-tuning may be effected by tapped inductances and may be applied to the intermediate frequency stages of a supersonic heterodyne receiver and more than two circuits may be de-tuned.
