Thermionic heterodyne receivers; undesired signals, eliminating.-A supersonic heterodyne wireless receiver comprises an aperiodic signalinput circuit a combined with a tuned localoscillator circuit b to obtain a single tuning control. The intermediate frequency is so chosen that disturbing frequencies, which produce the same intermediate frequency as the desired frequency with the local-oscillator frequency, lie outside the desired range of reception and are eliminated by filters d. The intermediate - frequency amplifier e is made selective and sensitive. According to modifications, a rejector circuit operated by the oscillator control is used in place of the filter (Fig. 2, not shown); two stages of semi-aperiodic (Fig. 3, not shown) or aperiodic amplification are used before the oscillator (Fig. 4, not shown).
