496,145. Superheterodyne circuits for wireless reception. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. May 31, 1937, No. 14995. Convention date, May 29, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] In a multi-wave range superheterodyne receiver tuning coils used in the signal frequency selecting circuits on one wave range are utilized on another range as tuning coils in the intermediate frequency stage. The intermediate frequency used on each wave range is preferably one third of the lowest signal frequency in that range so that the required selectivity and image frequency ratio is obtained on each wave range. The Figure shows a high frequency amplifier 5 the input and output couplings of which are used as intermediate frequency couplings on the next highest frequency range. Additional tuning units 43, 68, 69 are provided for the local oscillator circuit.
