Abstract
490,673. Valve circuits for wireless reception. MUSSETT, R. D. G. Feb. 13, 1937, No. 4359. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v)] In a radio receiver of the superheterodyne type employing a local oscillator tunable to produce a number of fixed fundamental frequencies of which one is preselected, the preselected fixed frequency is outside the range to be received and the intermediate-frequency circuit is made tunable over a range equal to the range of frequencies to be received. The arrangement prevents interference between two or more adjacent receivers operating from a common or adjacent aerial-earth systems. In an example, for reception on a range of 12 to 14 megacycles, the oscillator frequency is 15 megacycles and the intermediate-frequency circuit is tunable from 1 to 3 megacycles.
