Abstract

467,732. Valve circuits for wireless reception. PERCIVAL, W. S. Nov. 20, 1935, No. 11348/37. Divided out of 467,667. [Class 40 (v)] A super-regenerative receiver comprises two valves in cascade with a feed back path from the anode of the second valve to the grid of the first valve together with means to quench the oscillations produced. The Figure shows an arrangement in which the quenching source is applied at terminals 54 and the grid and anode circuits of the first valve 41 are signal tuned. The quenching oscillation is applied through radio frequency chokes 55, 56 to quench the two valves separately. The circuits 42, 43 and 44, 45 may be chosen to be self quenching or additional damping may be provided by shunt thermionic devices made conductive during the quench period.
