Abstract
467,731. Valve circuits for wireless reception. PERCIVAL, W. S. Nov. 20, 1935, No. 11004/37. Divided out of 467,667. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v)] In a super-regenerative receiver amplified oscillations of carrier frequency modulated by the quench frequency are derived from the super-regenerative stage and detected in a subsequent stage to obtain the quench frequency modulated by the signals from which these signals are obtained by a further stage of detection. The Figure, identical with Fig. 1 used in the abridgment of Specification 467,667 shows a super-regenerative valve 5 associated with a circuit 3, 4 common to the input and output and quenched by an oscillator 13 producing a special waveform as described in the above-mentioned Specification. The carrier oscillations are detected to obtain the quenching frequency by a diode 27 of low impedance and shunted by a radio frequency choke 28 and a circuit 29, 30 tuned to the quenching frequency. Oscillations of quenching frequency are amplified by the valve 31 and detected by a second diode detector 36 connected to the low frequency amplifier through a quench frequency choke 37.
