Abstract

492,646. Valve circuits for wireless reception. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and GILL, E. W. B. March 23, 1937, No. 13475/36. [Class 40 (v)] A super-regenerative receiver comprises a split-anode magnetron with a circuit 5, 6 tuned to the frequency to be quenched and coupled to the input connected between the anodes. The mid point of the tuned circuit is fed with D.C. potential 15 and the quenching frequency so that the magnetron operates by electronic resonance and acts as a rectifier. As shown the quenching frequency is supplied by an oscillator 22 and the load 30 connected to an amplifier 29. Instead of adjusting the anode potential of the magnetron the magnetic field may be adjusted.
