Abstract
375,563. Wireless receiving systems. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. July 7, 1931, No. 19593. Convention date, July 7, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] Relates to means for ganging the tuning-controls of a superheterodyne receiver designed to cover two or more wave-bands. In the long-wave position of the wave-change bar B, as shown, the whole of the tuning-coil L is in the input circuit L, C, and co-operates with a condenser C1 in the circuit of the local-oscillator u. When the bar B is moved to the right, only the tapped portion of the inductance L is effective, whilst the condenser C2 replaces condenser C1 in the heterodyne circuit. The plates of the condenser C1, C2 are so shaped as to maintain a constant " beat " frequency throughout both wave-bands, when ganged with the condenser C. The output from the first detector valve g is passed to the intermediate-frequency amplifier Z.
