Abstract
491,437. Valve circuits for wireless reception. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. March 28, 1938, No. 9449. Convention date, March 30, 1937. [Class 40 (v)] In a superheterodyne receiver in which an auxiliary homodyne oscillator 7 feeds an auxiliary oscillation of the same phase and frequency as the intermediate-frequency to the second detector 5 and in which the auxiliary oscillator is synchronized by means of a beat oscillation obtained in a rectifier 11 by interference between even harmonics derived by frequency multiplication from the intermediatefrequency itself and the auxiliary oscillations, the desired even harmonics (or either of these) are. selected by high-pass or band-pass filters 10, 13. The filters preferably have an attenuation peak in the non-pass range corresponding to the fundamental frequency or two peaks one on either side of this frequency.
