Transmitters; t e l e p h o n e systems. - The tone of sounds reproduced in line telephone receivers connected to transmitting microphones is improved by arranging two or more microphones one behind the other. The microphones are mounted in the same trumpet and connected to a common transmitting line. According to a modification two transmitting lines are used and one microphone or group of microphones is connected to a receiver for the left ear and the other connected to a receiver for the right ear.
