[Classes 13 and 118 (ii).] A directional sound receiving arrangement com prises a horn or like structure 3, 4, preferably as described in Specification 352,464, [Group XXXIX], mounted at one end of a member BS lined with soundabsorbing material F such as felt. A microphone 1, or the ear, is located at the high pressure end of the horn 3, which may be designed to cut off the frequencies for which a directional effect is not obtained.
