Abstract
717,210. Sound reproducing systems- KUHL, G. H. July 10, 1952 [Feb. 5, 1952], No. 17406/52. Class 40 (4) [Also in Group XXXVIII] To give the impression of depth in sound reproduction, the high frequency components are made to travel a greater distance than the low frequency components. The current from an amplifier 26 is fed through a crossover net-work 30 to a low-frequency loudspeaker 20, a highfrequency loudspeaker 21 (not shown) and an ultra-high frequency loudspeaker 22. The speaker 20 is set in a baffle across the corner of a room while the speakers 21, 22 are directed upwards at a hard reflecting surface 40. The device may be used with a gramophone or an electric organ.
