Abstract

150,212. Brown, C., and Brown & Barlow. Dec. 8, 1919. Spray carburettors. - The carburettor has a throttle valve in the form of a plate b which slides across the draught passage a, has an opening c adapted to register with and preserve the stream-line form of the draught passage in its fullyopen condition, and is located in a plane inclined in relation to the axis of the draught passage. The face of the slide adjacent the fuel nozzle, which is contained in the part d, converges towards the axis of the fuel passage in the direction of the fuel flow. Between the nozzle and the draught passage is interposed a co-axial fuel conduit to which air may be admitted.
