Abstract

1341947 Finishing and dressing yarns ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 15 May 1972 [7 June 1971] 22677/72 Heading D1F A running yarn, as may be drawn from a supply cap or the spinning chamber of an open-end spinning machine, is waxed by passage over, and frictional and rolling contact with, the face of a wax body 2 freely rotatable and slidable on and along the length of a spindle 3 which is inclined to the horizontal, supported at one end by a holder 1 and comprises a lock, e.g. a resilient, split enlargement 6 or a thread and nut or cup engaged in a recess, which engages a plug 2' to prevent it and the body 2 sliding off spindle 3, e.g. in the event of yarn breakage. As shown, yarn passes from withdrawing rollers 10, 11, through a slot 4' in a guide 4, across body 2 to a driving roll 8 and winding bobbin 9.
