Abstract

1381440 Waxing yarns HAMEL GmbH ZWIRNMASCHINEN 10 May 1973 [30 May 1972] 22409/73 Heading D1F In a paraffin wax coating apparatus for a textile e.g. two-for-one twisting, machine comprising a hollow cylindrical wax block 38 rotatably mounted on a pin (32), the yarn 24 being guided so as to run over the pin tangentially and over a front face 40 of the block, the latter is pressed onto the pin by means of a pretension device e.g. a coiled compression spring 60 and plate 62, against a stop e.g. as formed by shoulders 42 of the pin, rotating therewith but stationary in an axial direction (the yarn contacting the face 40 at an angle to a plane defined thereby and being pressed thereagainst). Yarn from a twister, Fig. 1 (not shown) runs over a driving roller 26, the cylindrical surface 30 of the pin and guide roller 34 and is guided therebetween so as to contact the face 40 at a variable angle and/or continuously or intermittently by a selected groove 72a, 72b or 72c in guide roller 28 mounted on a reciprocatable pin 68.
