Abstract

1336152 Wall or roofing panels C SKENE 23 Oct 1970 [3 Nov 1969] 50481/70 Headings E1B and E1W A wall or roofing panel is constructed at least in part from a slab 11 of a synthetic impermeable insulating material, e.g. foamed polystyrene, with intersecting grooves 14 for drainage, &c, on at least its lower face. A bituminous capping 12 is also provided, stuck to the upper surface and extending beyond the slab on at least two sides to provide an overlapping construction, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 (not shown) above a flat or sloping roof slab 30 which is covered with a waterproof membrane 26. A layer of ballast 28 may be placed on top of the panels. The grooves 14 are arranged to line up with grooves in an adjacent panel, and bevelled edges 18 are provided. The. panels are pressed out by a platen (34), Fig. 6 (not shown) which is preferably electrically heated.
