Abstract

These insualting elements, in "warm roofs", of foamed plastic or similar heat-insulating material, are for laying under the covering roof tiles or panels, between and supported by the roof battens. They are in the form of panels, with the extension strip which engages over the relevant batten at least on the lower edge of an upper panel, this strip being pref. prolonged beyond the batten and engaging over the upper edge of the next insulating panel underneath, with their surfaces in alignment. In front of the strip the panel may have a cutout for the tile lugs. The panels may be laid in troughs drawn from foil sheeting. This is a simpler and less expensive way of preventing the formation of cold bridges.
