Abstract

1483384 Insulating roof cladding THERMODACH DACHTECHNIK GmbH 20 Nov 1974 50392/74 Heading E1W A roof structure comprises heat insulating slabs 2, 3 of e.g. foamed plastics formed with a rebate on one face to accommodate a roofing batten 1 so that the slab overlies the batten and extends at least partly between adjacent roof battens. Grooves 10 or projections 14 may be formed in the upper face of the slab to support slate or asbestos cement tiles (not shown). Drainage channels 13 may be provided. Lateral edges of the slabs may be provided with interengaging formations, Fig. 6 (not shown). Reinforcing wires may be incorporated in the edges 8 or metal or plastics plates provided to strengthen the edge 18. The slabs may rest in plastics trays (4) Fig. 1 (not shown) which are supported between the battens.
