Abstract

979,684. Building units. HINTEREGGER G.m.b.H., [trading as GEBHARD HINTEREGGER BAUUNTERNEHMUNG FUR HOCHUND TIEFBAU]. Dec. 14, 1962, No. 47375/62. Heading E1B. A building unit comprises a steel reinforced concrete layer 2, an outer waterproofed concrete layer 1, and an intermediate insulating layer 3 of wood shavings bound in concrete. The unit is formed by moulding the layers on top of each other, the layer 1 being waterproofed by adding silicones, water-glass, or silicofluorides to the mix. The layer 1 may also be reinforced. Ceramic tiles or mosaic may be used to free the layer 1 and the unit may be formed with door or window openings. to give parallel rows of clips 15 upon which the panels 11 are slid, at least two opposed flanges 17 of each panel 11 having a slot 10 (Fig. 2) to engage with spring-clips 15, which clamp the panels 11 into engagement with the frame 12. The panels 11 may be of pressed construction and of square profile at the base, the exposed surface thereof when the assembly is complete, being of shallow inverted-pyramid form. A perimeter gap around the panel assembly is closed by a trimming strip 20 (Fig. 8) sprung on to channel members 21, screwed on to backing strips 23.
