Abstract

1519959 Wall and roof constructions CEMPOL Ltd 23 Oct 1975 [3 Dec 1974] 52274/74 Headings E1B and E1W A building is constructed using rectangular concrete wall panels 10, 11, each with a flange along each long edge, the panels in one skin (preferably the inner skin) being arranged with their flanges vertical and extending through notches 16 in the horizontally extending flanges of the panels of the other skin. A capping member including, or, as shown, comprising an inverted channel section, is employed at the top of the wall and window and door frames can be incorporated. Similar panels can be employed to form a single skin or double skin flat or pitched roof. The flanges of the panels 10 which are arranged vertically, and those of any panels employed in the roof, are reinforced. If a single skin of panels is used for a flat roof, the flanges are arranged to project upwardly, and a layer of chipboard is arranged above it. A similar arrangement of panels may be used in conjunction with panels arranged on a pitch above it, a central partition supporting the upper ends of the pitched panels. The panels may be as described and claimed in Specification 1278322.
