Abstract

1433106 Partition walls COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE D'ENTREPRISES METALLIQUES 22 March 1974 [30 March 1973] 12941/ 74 Heading E1W A partition wall is errected in a building having a ceiling formed of juxtaposed panels 1 with slits between them by using the slits to anchor the top edge of the partition. The partition formed of panels 7 has an upper inverted U-section channel 8, 9 vertically displaceable on a resilient means on the top edges of the panels, which channel has at least one angled or inverted T-section element 5 having a horizontal flange connected to the edging channel and a vertical flange 6 penetrating into the slit under the force of the resilient means. The channel may be formed of two separable plastics extrusions 9 and 8 clipped together. The resilient means may be a leaf spring (13) Fig. 4 (not shown). A lower channel may be fixed to the floor by adhesive and the panels 7 interconnected by a loose tongue 17.
