Abstract

1374929 Suspended ceilings BAJER INDUSTRIES Inc 16 Feb 1973 [1 March 1972] 7773/73 Heading E1W A framing member for supporting ceiling tiles, and suitable for various other functions, comprises a generally H-sectioned member 19, preferably extruded, with at least one lower external horizontal flange e.g. 22 for supporting tiles 23, and two pairs of horizontallyaligned upper internal flanges, e.g. 34, 134. An upper channel 49 may be dipped in to carry ducts 48, or a lower trim strip (Fig. 1, not shown) screwed on to carry ducts internally. A rolling partition 54 may be carried by an edge framing member (Fig. 3), or a ventilation duct 92 carried above and a deflector strip 99 below, (Fig. 14). An inverted channel (e.g. (107), Fig. 15, not shown) may be carried below to receive the upper edge of a partition panel (91), and a partition post 83 may carry a spring-loaded plate 71 (Fig. 11) which engages the undersides of four contiguous framing members, which are supported by a spiderconnector 56 from a hanger 64.
