Abstract

1323532 Supporting ceilings O BLICK 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970] 21366/71 Heading E1W A moulding for supporting one end of either a stretched ceiling covering sheet, e.g. 12 or a ceiling panel 16, has horizontal and vertical fixing surfaces 3, 4, a horizontal surface 7 terminating in a vertical flange 8, and an inwardly-directed flange 9 forming a tapered groove which can receive the edge strip 11 of a stretched ceiling. The moulding may be of aluminium, sheet metal or p.v.c. and may have a further L-sectioned base flange 6 which may conceal, e.g. a telephone cable. The moulding may be fixed to the wall and ceiling as in Fig. 5, or two mouldings may be attached, back-to-back, to the ceiling (Fig. 3, not shown) or two mouldings may be arranged back-toback on opposed sides of a strip 15, as in Fig. 4, thus providing a ceiling groove for locating the top of a partition 14.
