Abstract

1,249,765. Interlocking metal panels. ALCAN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd. 8 June, 1970 [19 June, 1969], No. 27697/70. Heading E1K. A metal building panel 10 is provided along opposite longitudinal edges with a major rib 14 and a minor rib 12; each rib consists of a vertical wall 16 or 18, a horizontal shoulder 20 or 22, a vertical web 24 or 26, a flange 28 or 34 and an edge bead 30 or 36. The panels are secured together by interlocking adjacent ribs. Other rib forms, differing in detail but having the same essential characteristics as those illustrated, are described.
